The iMTF is required to bolt into a customer 19" Rack and support testing of all critical signals within the iPEHG. The system at the right allows removing and probing internal signals of any one of the three primary modules while leaving the others protected. By not having to design and fabricating the external covers and side rails a significant amount of time (money) was saved.

The chassis of each module was built from a COTS frame for the side rails and covers. This minimized costs by reducing the fabrication effort.

The build effort only had to address the front and rear panels with a base plate that holds the supplied module.
